NexLaw Advocates for Strengthening Intellectual Property Enforcement in Zanzibar.

Prof. Saudin Mwakaje, a partner at NexLaw Advocates, was the principal facilitator in a Training Workshop on Enhancing Intellectual Property Enforcement for Judges and Magistrates in Zanzibar held on 12th and 13th August 2025 at Hotel Madinat Al Bahr. The programme was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Minister of Trade and Industrial Development for Zanzibar, Hon. Omar Said Shaaban. In the two days programme, Prof. Mwakaje presented topics on: (1) Legal Framework Governing IPR in Zanzibar, (2) The Role of the Judiciary in IP Enforcement, (3) IP in Zanzibar’s Development Agenda, (4) IP Enforcement Procedures and Evidentiary Challenges, (5) Judicial Remedies and Enforcement Orders in IP Cases.
